Uniforms

Saint John Neumann Regional School believes that a consistent school uniform supports a focused learning environment, fosters school pride, and promotes modesty and respect. Our uniform policy helps students focus on learning rather than fashion, while maintaining a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

All students are expected to follow the SJNRS dress code as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.

Flynn & O’Hara carries all approved uniform items, including shirts, pants, skirts, jumpers, sweaters, and gym uniforms with the SJNRS logo.

General Dress Code Expectations

Students should always be:

  • Clean, neat, and appropriately groomed

  • Dressed modestly and respectfully

  • Free from clothing or accessories that are distracting or inappropriate

Clothing with vulgarity, profanity, inappropriate images, or slogans is not permitted at school or school-sponsored events. Any attire deemed distracting by administration will not be permitted.

Students who arrive out of uniform or dressed inappropriately may be sent to the main office and/or home.

Daily Uniform Overview

Boys (Grades K–8)

  • Shirts: White dress shirt or polo; green polo with SJNRS logo

  • Pants/Shorts: Tan uniform slacks (November–March); shorts or pants permitted April–October

  • Sweaters: White or dark green sweater or vest with SJNRS logo

  • Shoes: Sturdy, soft-soled shoes with backs

  • Socks: Black or brown (above ankle)

  • Ties: Required with dress shirts

Girls (Grades K–8)

  • Shirts: White blouse, turtleneck, banded shirt, or polo with SJNRS logo

  • Jumpers: Grades K–3

  • Skirts/Skorts: Grades 4–8; length guidelines apply

  • Slacks: Tan uniform slacks (November–March); shorts or pants permitted April–October

  • Sweaters: White or dark green sweater or vest with SJNRS logo

  • Shoes: Soft-soled, low-heeled shoes with backs

  • Socks/Tights: Dark green or white

Gym Day Uniform

On gym days, all students in grades K–8 are required to wear the official SJNRS gym uniform, which includes:

  • SJNRS gym T-shirt or approved Walk-A-Thon/Field Day shirt

  • Green, black, or gray shorts with SJNRS logo

  • Black or gray sweatpants (no leggings)

  • Sweatshirt with SJNRS logo

  • Sneakers

Gym uniforms may be purchased through Flynn & O’Hara or during the school’s annual Spirit Wear Sale.

Casual Dress Days

On designated casual dress days, students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately. Clothing should:

  • Be free of inappropriate images or language

  • Not be torn, tight, or revealing

  • Follow length and fit guidelines outlined in the handbook
