Transportation

Saint John Neumann Regional School partners with local public school districts to provide transportation for eligible students in accordance with Pennsylvania Act 372.

Transportation eligibility is determined by a student’s district of residence, not by the location of the SJNRS campus attended. Families who wish to request transportation must complete the required forms each year.

How Transportation Works (Act 372 Overview)

Under Act 372, public school districts are responsible for providing transportation—or reimbursement in lieu of transportation—to eligible nonpublic school students who reside within district boundaries and meet distance requirements.

Important things for families to know:

  • Transportation eligibility is determined by your home school district

  • Transportation is not automatic

  • A request must be submitted each school year

  • Deadlines are set by individual districts and are strictly enforced

How to Request Transportation

Step 1: Notify SJNRS

  • Families interested in transportation should notify the SJNRS school office.
  • The school will provide the required Act 372 Transportation Request Form and guidance for your district.

Note: Families do not submit Act 372 forms directly to the district without first coordinating with SJNRS.

Step 2: Complete the Act 372 Form

  • One Act 372 form must be completed per student

  • Forms must be signed by the parent/guardian

  • SJNRS will complete the school certification section before submission

Step 3: Submit by District Deadline

  • Completed forms must be returned by the district’s deadline.
  • Late submissions may result in denial of transportation for the school year.

All districts require an Act 372 form. Some may require additional documentation.
